Someone: Why was Bombay named Bombay?
After approximately 48960 minutes (not that I did research for all that time), I have an answer.
The Portuguese named the city as “Bom Baia” which means “Good Bay” in Portuguese. Later, in 1668, these islands were acquired by the English East India Company. The British changed the Portuguese name “Bom Baia” to “Bombay”.
So I am back to Bom Baia.. err.. Bombay. No, I am not going to use Mumbai. Why? Because this blog is not in association with the right-wing political party.
I was too excited to be back home. You notice how I used the word was? I don’t know why but I don’t feel that good being here, doing nothing at all. In the very first week, I got bored. I want to do something and not just meet friends in fancy restaurants.
So, let’s meet over some activity. Something.. Cooking, swimming, anything!
PS: I’ve got chocolates for you.
